Oh, I intend to keep most of them. Simply not the way people believe. Crime in Maurtia Falls will appear to diminish when most of those criminals come to be under my direct payroll. What our city lacks is organization. It is this lack of organization that creates a problem on the surface -- the gang wars, the murders, the lack of proper facilities through which to do their dealings in secret. Change those little things and it will appear to be a more peaceful city while still maintaining its criminal activity in full.
I still maintain contact with some of the underground art trade in Maurtia Falls that I met during my summer of supervillainy. I can make introductions if you wish.
My schedule is fairly flexible, and I will always make time for you, Dorian. That said, are there any days in particular your friends are most active? Weekends, during the week, evening or early morning? I would like to see some of their merchandise first hand.
I shall pencil it into my calendar. It may be a good idea to put Bela Talbot into contact with them as well. She runs an antiques store, and I have reason to believe she does not acquire all of her wares in the legal means. I did promise her a more lucrative future within Maurtia Falls.
There's an imPort here, Kitty Jones. Personally, I loathe her, but she did make an interesting point one time: as a populace, we're all bizarrely attractive. I'd extend the hypothesis to bizarrely young as well. If the Porter were truly random, there would be more children and elderly than there are here.
Perhaps because in a way, they are your image reflected. And you are a beautifully attractive young man. I imagine it's difficult to find people who match up to your particular standards.
[ Hey. No judgement in his tone, though. Baelish is only pointing out the truth here. Dorian is as flawless as a painting come to life. ]
