I can't really believe it yet, but we did it. I had to call to thank you for your help, Ambassador, I don't know that I would've run again if you hadn't suggested I could.

I knew you would come out victorious, my friend. They did you wrong in the Nonah election, but it has led to greater things. The voter turn out was phenomenal.

And nobody hackin' my emails or phone conversations this time, either.

Quite true. You have to wonder if that mysterious hacker has moved on to better things or has simply ported out. My guess is the former considering that one bizarre anonymous post that came out not too long ago.

But I digress. What's the first order of business, Ambassador Merlotte? A celebration, perhaps?

[huh. He'd considered those were related when that post went up, himself. Now that Baelish is echoing the same thought, he's more convinced. And a person like that - he doubts they're just going to go away.

Aye, we are. We've been together nearly a year now. They always do say opposites attract, and we are about as opposite as they come. A man from far in the past and a woman from far in the future.

Ah. You flatter me, my friend. I do at times fear our relationship may be looked down upon. She is much younger than I -- something that's quite common by Westerosi standards, but people are far more judgemental in this world.

If it weren't that, people'd judge you for something else, probably. It's pretty much the favorite human pastime.

It often stems from envy. They want what you have for themselves and so will pass judgement upon you for having that thing in your grasp. I imagine a man like you who has quite a lot going for him has encountered it quite a bit.

Ah yes. I do know how it can be. The same can be said of enemies. A fact you'll come to know well as ambassador. Much though you'll wish you could, you can't please everyone. And the imPorts here do tend to be a bit more...particular than most.
