I was envious of you, you know. I was envious of you and your relationship with Doctor Chilton and later on Jorah Mormont. I am a man who is capable of advancing his own career quite quickly, but I've never been a man who is capable of friendship. Not for lack of wanting it, mind. I saw how effortlessly these men I admired accepted you, and it made me resent you because I knew neither of them would ever accept me for anything more than what I could do for them -- politically or monetarily.

So the thought that entered my mind was 'how can I control this threat to the things I want?' And that is what led us down this path. It doesn't excuse it. I do apologize for it, but this is my attempt to at least offer a truce.

Well, I had intended to put a few trustworthy natives into place. But after a correspondence with a man named Shade, I believe he would be more than capable. Are you familiar with him?

We are in the construction process. So it's not ready yet, but it should be sometime in March if the weather permits. If not then, then at the beginning of April for certain. I contemplated building onto the existing library, but I believe it's far better to create something entirely new. Something new tends to garner more interest than something renovated.

...But so when it is completed - and correct me if I'm wrong - you'll be the owner of a casino, a stripping bar, and a library?

Only the Gentleman's Club and the Library. I do not own the casino -- just merely assist in the management of said establishment. But if you do want to add a third thing in there, I am owner of the title Ambassador. Something you helped to achieve.
