It was a joke, yes. But I am glad to hear you do not fall among those ranks. Far too often I read about the latest scandals surrounding politicians. And while a well placed scandal can bring about publicity, often times it is difficult to come up with one that will not negatively impact your character or campaign.
Have you considered forming a relationship with a fellow imPort? It does not necessarily have to be a real one. But I find the natives are most interested in the romantic affairs of imPorts. To a point where they will even make up ones that do not exist. It could work in your favor if you merely plant the seeds and watch your name spread throughout fan forums and websites.
